Jessica Idarraga

The Design Center of the Americas welcomes Jessica Idarraga as Director of Digital Marketing. In her new position, she will oversee digital marketing for the entire DCOTA campus, including more than 50 prestigious showrooms representing premier manufacturers from around the world, as well as Le Méridien Dania Beach, the new luxury hotel that opened less than a year ago.

A creative and marketing strategist dedicated to bringing awareness of all aspects of design to a broad audience through research and collaboration, Idarraga is a graduate of Florida International University’s School of Journalism, and was formerly the Managing Editor of Whitehaus Media Group, overseeing the production of Cultured Magazine, LALA Magazine, Venice Magazine and Bal Harbour Magazine. While there, she assisted in pivoting the company into the digital age by using various marketing channels to leverage its presence, as well as applying data-driven analytics to decision-making.

“I am thrilled to join the team at DCOTA,” says Idarraga. “I have always admired and appreciated the Design Center and I’m looking forward to supporting all of the magnificent showrooms. My vision for DCOTA involves raising awareness around current design trends, and assisting all showrooms in showcasing their latest upscale launches.”

“During these challenging times, I believe DCOTA’s accessibility and convenience will continue to garner traction with those looking for high quality products in a safe environment, while also tapping into an expanding international market here in South Florida,” she adds. “Accordingly, we plan to launch virtual showroom tours to cross-promote on our website and social platforms for those clients interested in accessing our extraordinary services from the comfort of their own homes.”

In addition, the combined marketing team at the four Cohen Design Centers nationwide is charging into 2021 with a revamped website that will showcase virtual viewings, plus a dynamic relaunch of Go Design Go, an online destination dedicated to covering the happenings at DCOTA and its sister design centers in Manhattan, Southern California and Houston, as well as sharing compelling interviews with many of today’s top interior designers.

“We're also planning for hybrid activations, including our upcoming Winter market, which will be hosted in-person—with all COVID protocols in place—and live streamed,” Idarraga promises.

In her new position, she will also work directly with Anel De Castro, DCOTA’s Director of Design Services, to optimize the effectiveness of its proprietary Designer Referral Program that offers exceptional value to both design partners and end users.
