Palmer Trinity School Model U.N. Goes Virtual

12/3/20

One of Palmer Trinity School’s (PTS) largest clubs, Model United Nations (MUN), has found new ways to participate in conferences with other students around the world despite the travel challenges brought on by Covid-19. This school year, PTS MUN delegates participated in a virtual Middle School conference, DistrictMUN, hosted by Georgetown University. Seven Palmer Trinity middle school delegates represented the school at the conference over Zoom. Jasmaih Oberoi, the delegate for Nigeria, and Jaden-Cole Laurent, the delegate for Pakistan were recognized for their outstanding work in the UNHCR committee.

Palmer Trinity’s high school Model U.N. team similarly had 15 delegates participate in the FHSMUN UN Day Virtual Conference and 11 delegates in the EAMUNC Conference at the Indian School Al Ghubra in Muscat, Oman, a fellow Round Square school.

“We are grateful and honored to have the opportunity to collaborate with these institutions and have our students stay connected to students around the world during these unprecedented times. They are doing a wonderful job serving as ambassadors for their assigned nations and Palmer Trinity School,” Patrick Roberts, Head of School.
