Space of Mind (SOM), which pioneered on-campus Social HomeschoolingTM over the last 10+ years, has expanded its program to Boca Raton, including a new full-time and part-time elementary campus and co-learning community for homeschoolers, distance learners and enrichment seekers. Space of Mind’s Schoolhouse features small group learning and a customized, project-based and experiential curriculum and also offers private coaching to support existing programs a homeschooler is using.
The new Boca Raton campus is centrally located at 8230 S. 210th Street, near the Turnpike and Glades Road, in Boca Raton. This is in addition to Space of Mind’s 10,000 square foot campus on Swinton Avenue in downtown Delray Beach. The program is accepting members in grades K-8 in Boca Raton and K-12 and post high school Gap Year participants in Delray Beach.
“Learning shouldn’t be stressful, so SOM’s newest campus offers even more ways to make learning and life more meaningful, creative, flexible and most of all, confident. We’re teaching social, emotional, life and creative skills that make academic success more easily achievable,” said Ali Kaufman, founder and CEO of Space of Mind. “Our groups are mixed ages, which allows us to match students with those they will learn best with socially. Our curriculum is differentiated within the group to meet each student individually. There’s no stigma or stress in our learning environment!”
Space of Mind’s coaching and community programs are rooted in self-discovery and include full and part-time Social HomeschoolingTM; afterschool, evening and weekend classes, clubs and workshops; private academic, creative and life skills coaching; college preparatory & gap year advising; academic and life skill assessments and learning plans; camps; drop ins for homework help and more.
