As we continue to closely monitor the situation surrounding COVID-19, for the foreseeable future, Tropical Financial Credit Union will only offer drive-thru and ATM service at Miami-Dade County branches with that capability starting Monday, July 20. Branches without a drive thru will be fully closed.
Drive-thru hours are from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Friday. ATMs remain operational. In addition, all branches will continue to remain closed on Saturdays.
“With the numbers rising in Miami-Dade County, we have decided to close our branch lobbies out of an abundance of caution for both our employees and customers,” said Richard Helber, president and CEO. “Members still have 24-hour access to their accounts online or through mobile devices to complete transactions.”
TFCU has created a Covid-19 specific communication page to provide the most up-to-date information on branch operations and special programs: tropicalfcu.com/
In the meantime, Tropical Financial wants to do everything it can to reduce the financial burden its members are facing due to the current situation. The credit union has created relief options for members who have lost their jobs due to work stoppages or who face some other financial burden. The options include deferred payment on existing consumer loans, mortgages, home equity lines and commercial loans as well as offering short-term no-interest loans.
