Donna S. Hall joins Board of Directors and Nikkie Dvorchak is appointed to Development Director for Southwest Florida
The Everglades Foundation, the environmental non-profit dedicated to protecting and restoring America’s Everglades, announced today that Donna S. Hall, a civic leader and philanthropist, has been named to the Board of Directors for the organization.
“Donna Hall is a highly regarded leader whose talents have been recognized by many organizations in Florida, Kentucky and Washington, D.C.,” said Carlos de la Cruz Jr., who chairs The Everglades Foundation’s board. “We are fortunate to enlist her services and eager to work with her.”
Hall holds a degree in secondary education from the University of Georgia. She serves on the National Committee for the Performing Arts of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and on numerous boards including the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center Board of Overseers; the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence; the Headley-Whitney Museum of Art; the Kentucky Center for the Arts; and the Naples Botanical Gardens. She is the former chair of the Governor’s School for the Arts Advisory Council and the Gaines Center for the Humanities at the University of Kentucky, and Director Emeritus of the Kentucky Art and Craft Foundation and the Huntington Museum of Art. She is the recipient of the Eagle Award of the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, the W.T. Young Lifetime Achievement Award by Commerce Lexington and the Kentucky Governor’s Award in the Arts.
Donna and her husband, John, live in Naples, Florida and in Lexington, Kentucky.
In addition, Naples resident Nikkie Dvorchak has accepted the position of Development Director for Southwest Florida for The Everglades Foundation. Dvorchak comes to the Foundation following her work as Vice President of Events and Development for the Naples Chamber of Commerce. In that role, she was able to successfully execute a variety of events and activities for the Chamber and its membership. In addition, she managed the Chamber’s Development efforts to identify and secure new investors for the Naples Chamber Leadership Collier Foundation.
Immediately prior to joining the chamber, Dvorchak was the Director of Events and Corporate Relations at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. In this role, she oversaw more than $2 million in annual event revenue.
"Nikkie brings a tremendous level of experience and skill set to the Foundation at this important time,” said Eric Eikenberg, CEO of The Everglades Foundation. “We are excited to have Nikkie lead these efforts in Southwest Florida."
A native of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Dvorchak also worked for the Pittsburgh Steelers as the Club’s marketing manager. During her time with the Steelers, she led advance teams for Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa and Super Bowl XLV in Dallas.
