Christopher Polaszek Joins Company as Chief Legal Officer/Corporate Secretary

Brady Cobb, founder of 3 Boys Farm, LLC, d/b/a One Plant, a Florida cannabis company, has transitioned from his position of global CEO of the publicly-traded SOL Global Investments Corp. to CEO of the publicly-traded Bluma Wellness Inc. Bluma is a licensed, vertically integrated medical cannabis company in the state of Florida. Additionally, Christopher Polaszek has joined Bluma as chief legal officer/corporate secretary.

Bluma operates through its wholly owned operating subsidiary, 3 Boys Farm, LLC, d/b/a One Plant Florida. Bluma is listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange after a reverse takeover with CannCure Investments Inc., a SOL Global portfolio company, which owned and operated One Plant Florida.

Cobb, a medical marijuana pioneer who uses his legal background to address marijuana policy reform as both an attorney and lobbyist, founded One Plant in October 2018. The publicly-held One Plant is a medical marijuana company that holds one of only 14 medical marijuana treatment center (MMTC) licenses in the state of Florida.

Prior to founding One Plant, Cobb led market-setting strategic investments in the cannabis space as the CEO of publicly traded Sol Global Investments Corp., including investments into Verano Holdings, 3 Boys Farms, DNA Genetics, and a full U.S. and European hemp/CBD portfolio. He is a regular guest on Fox Business, Cheddar, and Yahoo Finance.

Cobb’s interest in medical marijuana began with his father, CW “Bill” Cobb, who in the late 1970s and early 1980s helped smuggle $300 million worth of marijuana into the U.S., and was sentenced to 20 years behind bars. The younger Cobb has since taken a different path in promoting its benefits ? choosing to engine the product in a legal market.

Cobb earned his law degree from Barry University in Orlando, Florida; and later became a director at the nationally recognized Fort Lauderdale law firm Tripp Scott. In 2014, Cobb went on to found his law practice Cobb Eddy, where he was to be deeply embedded in cannabis policy-making both at the legislative and executive level. Cobb currently resides in Fort Lauderdale.

Bluma’s chief legal officer/corporate secretary, Polaszek, has successfully defended and prosecuted numerous large commercial litigation and arbitration matters for more than 20 years in jurisdictions and arbitration forums around the country. His own journey with cannabis started when a close family member was faced with the decision of whether to endure chronic pain during a long bout with cancer, or take opioids to treat it.

His research led him to the growing medicinal cannabis industry, where he applied his professional expertise to help major players in that market to navigate a complex and ever-shifting regulatory scheme.

Polaszek worked as a defense attorney at Holland & Knight LLP and Gray Robinson before moving to Milberg LLP, where he managed the Tampa, Florida office, representing plaintiffs in securities and consumer fraud class actions. Later, he moved to Morgan & Morgan LLC, where he co-chaired the securities fraud, commodities and antitrust class action department. In 2016, he launched Polaszek Law Firm in Tampa.

Currently residing in Tampa, Polaszek holds a bachelor's degree, a master's in business administration and a law degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida; and a master of laws degree in securities and financial regulation from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C.

“I’ve been very fortunate to have great teams around me, both when I was CEO of SOL Global, and at Bluma/One Plant,” said Cobb. “I foresee Florida as being the No. 1 cannabis market in the U.S. in five years, and I look forward to all that we will accomplish at Bluma/One Plant, where we strive to provide only top-quality, best-in-class products.”

“Joining Bluma mirrors my dedication to being an advocate for the cannabis industry, which is a way for millions of people to fight significant health issues,” said Polaszek. “It’s exciting to be among fellow cannabis legal professionals and advocates at Bluma who share the same vision and passion.”
