Broward County Public Schools Food & Nutrition Services Offers Summer Meal Distribution

6/2/20

Broward County Public Schools (BCPSFNS) have been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the District remains committed to serving the community by offering grab-and-go meals for breakfast and lunch to children and their families. This service will continue over the summer, beginning Tuesday, June 9.

In an effort to reduce trips and safely maintain social distancing, meal distribution is now available once a week at 49 school locations where families can pick up multiple meals.

There are 27 elementary schools, 14 middle schools and 8 high schools distribution sites across Broward County. Meal distribution takes place on Tuesdays only from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. where children and their families can pick up multiple meals each. Meals are handed out in the bus or car loop as they either drive up or walk up to reduce risk of exposure.

Meals are available to all children 18 years old and younger, as well as adults that are present (no identification required). Meals are also available for children who are not present with identification. Adults must be present to receive meals.
