Williams Grant Writing (WGW), a South Florida-based grant writing company, has formed a strategic alliance with the national WCPG “cause” agency to create a more powerful offering of fundraising and social impact consulting services.

Founded in 2003, WGW has offices in West Palm Beach and a nationwide team producing grant proposals and reports, researching new grant opportunities, and helping nonprofits meet their grant-getting potential. In the wake of an unprecedented economic shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this expertise will be especially critical for organizations dependent on grants and fundraising, said WGW partner Jessica Merrell.

“Our team is proud to have secured hundreds of millions of dollars in competitive grant applications for our clients over the years, and today it will be even more challenging,” Merrell said. “Grants are just one of the many tools that make up a solid fundraising strategy. Our partnership with WCPG allows us to offer a complete fundraising solution to nonprofit organizations and elevate their incredibly important work.”

Merrell and her co-owner Dan Abbate are members Entrepreneurs’ Organization South Florida, and apply an innovative, entrepreneurial approach for their clients. They said the partnership with WCPG is an evolution in that strategy.

WCPG, with offices in New York and Los Angeles, is an award winning agency with specialized experience in pop-culture. As an agency focused specifically and exclusively around “cause,” WCPG is uniquely positioned to help brands maximize their impact and engagement around cause-related efforts as well as advise nonprofit organizations on how to effectively steer the new age of philanthropy.

“Now, more than ever, we need to help our clients find support in the most creative ways possible,” said Harrie Bakst, who co-founded WCPG with Sara Weinstein. “We were early adopters in peer to peer fundraising, cause marketing and corporate partnerships, but grant writing is an important part of the full fundraising equation and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with a grant leader like WGW.”

“Jessica and Dan are creative, collaborative, successful serial entrepreneurs,” said Jerry Katz, founder of Premier Protection Insurance and president of EO SOFLO. EO SOFLO is one of the world’s largest EO chapters, with approximately 200 members whose businesses account for more than $2 billion in annual revenues and 10,000 jobs in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. “They know how to bring together the best ideas to serve their clients, and in this case, the world. Their new strategic partnership with WCPG is sure to be a success.”
