Palm Beach International Boat Show Pulls into port March 26-29th in the heart of Downtown West Palm Beach with a Superyacht Show Expansion
The 35th annual Palm Beach International Boat Show (PBIBS), will be pulling into port March 26 - 29, along Flagler Drive in downtown West Palm Beach, featuring 1,000 boats and nearly 500 exhibitors on display showcasing the latest in marine technology and accessories. This year’s show boasts an expansion to the Town of Palm Beach with the addition of the invitation-only, three-day Superyacht Show Palm Beach at the Flagler Museum.
With 25 years in the heart of downtown West Palm Beach, owned by the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County, Inc. (MIAPBC) and produced by Informa Markets, PBIBS is known as one of the top five boat shows in the country. Offering something for locals and visitors alike to enjoy, the Palm Beach International Boat Show features live music, educational activities such as free youth fishing clinics presented by Hook the Future, IGFA School of Sportfishing seminars, extreme sports demonstrations in the AquaZone and seminars on the latest in superyachting by Superyacht Times. Enhanced dining options, and over 2.7 million square feet of the most exciting boats and marine gear to see from eight-foot inflatables to super yachts nearly 300 feet will be on display at this year’s show which spans nearly 63 acres on land and in-water.
Whether taking the Brightline train or arriving by boat and tying up to the free docks located at the south show entrance, the Palm Beach International Boat Show offers seamless transportation and parking options that make it easy for guests to get to and from the show.
With so much to see and do, here is a guide on the top things to see at this year’s show:
- Palm Beach International Boat Show’s Superyacht Show Palm Beach - New to the show this year is the Palm Beach International Boat Show’s Superyacht Show Palm Beach, which will host 10 to 12 superyachts ranging in size from 154 to 300 feet long. The invitation-only event will be held at the Flagler Museum in the town of Palm Beach and is expected to attract highly qualified buyers from across the U.S. and around the globe. Superyacht Show Palm Beach will offer an exquisite display of the Show’s most luxurious superyachts, while featuring a mix of entertainment, luxury experiences, Superyacht seminars, lectures by renowned marine experts, contemporary art exhibits and more. Invited guests will be treated to these exclusive experiences in addition to private tenders and car service between all areas of the two shows. Superyacht Show Palm Beach will take place on the dates of March 26-28.
- New Debuts - The 2020 show will unveil some of the year’s most striking and luxurious new yachts, including the world debuts of Vicem 67 by Vicem Yachts, GB54 by Grand Banks Yachts, Summit 54 by Summit Motor Yachts, and Ocean Alexander’s Divergence 45 Coupe. Additionally, Princess Yachts will have the North American debut of its V55, Bruckmann Yachts will display the U.S. debut of its Abaco 47, and Atlantic Yacht & Ship Inc. will debut the new model of its 80 Pearl Hull 8.
- Largest Boats In Show (Over 100 feet) – With over 67 superyachts, the most on display in Palm Beach, and more than $1.2 billion worth of yachts, accessories and marine gear, there will be over 1,000 spectacular boats and yachts of all sizes on display. The top five largest yachts set to display at this year’s show includes the 247 foot Bella Vita by Lurssen, 242 foot PLVS VLTRA by AMELS, 235 foot SOLO by Tankoa, 238 foot Quantum of Solace by Turquoise Yachts, 210 foot Attila by SanLorenzo, and 180 foot LAURENTIA by Heesen Yachts.
- Windward VIP Experience - Guests will have the ability to elevate their show experience with a Windward VIP ticket that includes admission to the show and VIP lounge featuring a premium open bar, sumptuous lunch, late afternoon tapas, pop-up events as well as a concierge service in an exclusive setting in the heart of the show. Overlooking the beautiful Flagler Drive at the Lakeside Pavilion, the Windward VIP is sponsored by Bradford Marine, Compass real estate and Palm Harbor Marina.
- Al Fresco Dining Experience – The Palm Beach International Boat Show will offer a new outdoor restaurant located on the terrace of the Lake Pavilion, outside the Windward VIP Lounge. Named the Terrace Bistro, this lunch, dinner and lounge destination for is available to all guests featuring organic, chef-driven options to indulge in all day. The menu will include a continental breakfast, lunch and dinner items such as Zak the Baker croissants, lobster rolls, pork al pastor street tacos, crab nachos, a variety of burgers with seasonal toppings and fresh salads.
- Educational Seminars - The Official Intelligence Partner, SuperYacht Times will host seminars on trends in superyachting Thursday - Saturday. Seminars will offer a panel of industry professionals and yacht owners. IGFA School of Sportfishing will offer twelve seminars starting on Thursday, March 26th and running through the last day of the show March 29th. - Kids Fishing Clinics by Hook The Future – On Saturday and Sunday, kids ages 4-16 are welcome to join the Kids Fishing Clinics hosted by Hook The Future and conducted by Captain Don Dingman. Captain Don Dingman provides hands on experience and gives attendees the chance to win cool prizes as well each attendee received their own rod and reel*. The Kids Fishing Clinics will take place at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 28 and at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 29.
- AquaZone by Nautical Ventures - The Palm Beach Boat Show AquaZone will be an open water, full throttle and action-packed venue with water demos and product exhibits. Available all four days of the show, the Aquazone will feature demos ranging from female world Flyboard champion, Kristen Smoyer; Hobie Kayaks, Red Shark Water Bikes, Aquabanas, YuJet Electric Surf Boards, Seabob, Lift Hydro Foil Surf Boards, Tiwal Inflatable Sailboats and more.
- Take Home a New Pet - For the third consecutive year, guests at the Palm Beach International Boat Show will be able to adopt dogs and cats right on site, thanks to the show’s partnership with Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control. Last year, the organization found safe, new homes for 11 cats and dogs at the four-day event.
