Kristen Cañamero-Gómez

Kristen M. Cañamero-Gómez, a seasoned lawyer with over 13 years of experience, has rejoined Rasco Klock’s Miami office as a partner. Cañamero-Gómez served as an associate with Rasco Klock from 2007–’13.

Prior to rejoining Rasco Klock, Cañamero-Gómez was director of legal and business affairs for Ole Media Services, Inc. in Coral Gables, Florida. There, she provided contracting and legal support for licensing of original programming obtained from domestic and foreign major studios, and more.

As an associate with Rasco Klock from 2007–’13, she represented a variety of domestic and foreign purchasers and sellers of residential and commercial real estate. She also represented banks, mortgage lenders and other financial institutions in residential and commercial closings, purchases and refinances; as well as commercial landlords, drafting necessary documentation to assure properly secured lending. In addition, she represented clients in the documentation of corporate transactions, as well as in asset purchase, share purchase and merger transactions.

Cañamero-Gómez began her legal career as an associate with Kluger, Peretz, Kaplan & Berlin, P.L. in Miami, Florida. There, she conducted legal research in the intellectual property litigation practice area, and drafted legal memoranda, motions, briefs and agreements. She represented clients in connection with intellectual property matters and disputes, and represented clients before U.S. Customs in obtaining the release of their detained or seized imports. She also collaborated with clients’ foreign counsel regarding importation of regulated goods into a foreign country.

In naming Cañamero-Gómez to partner in the Miami office, Ramón E. Rasco, firm managing partner, founder, and head of the Business Law Department, pointed to her expertise in working with a variety of practice areas.

Cañamero-Gómez is admitted to The Florida Bar.

She holds a J.D. from The University of Chicago, The Law School in Chicago, Illinois. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Legal Studies (cum laude) from University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.
