Celebrity Designer, Alena Capra Headlines the Miami Home Show
The Miami Home Design and Remodeling Show returns March 27-29, 2020 to the Mana Wynwood Convention Center. Headlining the show will be South Florida’s most recognized TV Interior Designer, Alena Capra who hosts the weekly design show SoFlo Home Project. Capra has also been a guest host on Lifetime's Designing Spaces and lead designer on Operation Build (History Channel/FYI.)
Over the course of the last ten years, Capra has been involved in several Home Shows as either a speaker or creating designer vignettes--an experience she says helped grow her business.
"I am so excited to be the featured speaker at the upcoming Miami Home Show,” says Capra. “The Home Design and Remodeling Show was actually where I gave my first design seminar ever--back in 2010. So, this is a wonderful moment to be able to come back to the place where it all started and now as the featured speaker! I can't wait to share design tips at the upcoming show!”
Capra will present, Today's Top Design Trends...and How to Incorporate Them Into Your Home, at Any Budget at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28th and Sunday, March 29th; and Nail Your Home Renovation at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28th.

Julia Alzate is a TV personality and lifestyle expert. She has eight years of weekly appearances on Despierta America and on Radio Caracol, with participation in segments about lifestyle, interior design, decoration, personal style, DIY, green living, family budget, and more. With an audience of over 66K followers on YouTube and more than 100K followers on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter combined, Alzate’s audience eagerly anticipates her daily tips on recycling and transforming everyday household items to obtain a unique and personalized design.
Roberta Marcelino is the founder and head interior designer of Studio Nova Interiors. Her mission is to assist in creating comfortable, functional, sustainable, and timeless spaces. She works in collaboration with builders and architects to execute her vision of the project. Studio Nova Interiors is well recognized by clients in Florida, Georgia and South America
Ann Ueno is owner of Ann Ueno Interior Design and Co-Owner of Miami Living Co. Originally from Chicago, Ueno has an extensive background in hotels, digital merchandising and design. A former executive at Starwood Hotels, Celebrity Cruises and BCV Social, Ueno brings leadership, business acumen, creativity and a healthy level of risk-taking to her design projects. She is deeply passionate about creating spaces that fuel emotions and make a lasting, memorable impact for every person that gets to experience her designed environments.
Michael Zavala began his career in the contract furniture industry in 2013 after graduating from Berkeley College with a Bachelors’ Degree in Fine Arts. He has been involved in all aspects of the design and construction process, from programming to construction administration. Zavala is a cast member of the VH1 docu-series Cartel Crew. Out of a desire to provide his clients with a one-on-one direct design experience, Zavala works closely with his clients to discover an individualized creative design solution that meets both their functional needs and their desire for an inspiring and comfortable atmosphere in their living-space or work-space.
