Michelle Howland Named to Broward Performing Arts Foundation Board of Directors

Luxury real estate expert Michelle Howland has been named to the Broward Performing Arts Foundation board of directors.

Howland leads an elite team of real estate professionals at The Howland Group, which specializes in marketing high-end residential and waterfront properties throughout South Florida.

Deeplydevoted to local arts initiatives, Howland has supported the Broward Center since 2014, is a current member and past board member of Funding Arts Broward(FAB!) and serves on the NSU Museum of Art board of governors. She supports several other local organizations in the arts including Symphony of the Americas.

With a passion for animal causes, Howland also serves on the board of directors of theHumane Society of Broward County andPAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving), an affiliate of the Humane Society.

A resident of Fort Lauderdale, Michelle earned both a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in finance from the University of Louisville.

For more than 25 years, the Broward Performing Arts Foundation has been instrumental in providing support for the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The Foundation was established in 1985 to deliver the required private funding to build the Center and create an endowment to sustain its operations. Over the years, the Foundation has successfully raised funds to support the Broward Center’s innovative and diverse programming, arts-in-education initiatives, community engagement activities and capital projects. The Foundation recently completed a $30 million capital campaign to renovate and restore the iconic Parker Playhouse. Prior to this, it raised $60 million to complete the Encore! capital campaign to renovate, renew and revitalize the Broward Center.
