What/Who: The bets are on! As a continuation of its ongoing dedication to the local community, Fort Lauderdale-based Freedland Harwin Valori, PL, a consumer justice law firm, is serving as the Title Sponsor of the Harvest Drive Florida Poker Tournament at Carolina Ale House in Weston, Florida. The 27th annual event will take place on Thursday, Oct. 10. Each year, the event raises approximately $25,000 for Harvest Drive Florida, which provides food and other necessities including gently worn clothing and gently used household items to Broward County Public Schools’ families in need throughout the year.
At the event, guests will enjoy food, drinks, games, prizes and more. The third place prize will be a $500 American Express gift card, second place prize will be a 60” television and the grand prize is too great to reveal!
Michael Freedland, Esq., founding partner of Freedland Harwin Valori, PL and longtime Weston resident, is spearheading the sponsorship. He has been supporting Harvest Drive Florida for 13 years and his law firm has been sponsoring the Poker Tournament for 10 years.
The Harvest Drive, founded in August of 1992 at Country Isles Elementary School in Broward County, works to promote the concept of philanthropy to Broward County Public Schools students by educating them on the issue of hunger in the community and providing them the opportunity to give back.
