Fiske & Company, one of South Florida’s oldest CPA firms, has hired George Zebegret, CPA as Senior Manager of Audit and Assurance. In this position, Zebegret will manage the audit and assurance department’s staff and oversee client engagements while contributing to the growth of the firm's audit and assurance practice area.

Zebegret’s most recent role as Senior Audit Manager of Financial Institutions Group at Doeren Mayhew, CPAs & Advisors gives him a wealth of background knowledge of managing audits, reviews and consulting engagements. During his time at Doeren Mayhew, Zebegret was responsible for managing a team of professional resources in auditing, financial performance, business generation and improvement, client development and expense management. George also serviced on the firm’s pension and audit technical committees. His past experience includes working in the financial institution division of PwC.

Previously, Zebegret developed his foundation of experience as a supervisor at Goldstein Lewin and Company (acquired by CBIZ MHM, LLC) where he planned, coordinated and supervised audit engagements for public and nonpublic companies, employee benefit plans and broker-dealers. He also managed the performance of all audit work from planning to completion, while planning with clients to identify assess controls, risks, process gaps and work flow inefficiencies.
