Meet the Inaugural (2019) Board of Directors for Emerge Broward (EB), a young professionals group for up-and-coming leaders aged 21 to 35, tailored toward the advancement of emerging leaders in Broward County. Consisting of Emerge Broward alumni members, EB’s Board of Directors is committed to fostering a strong and engaged network of young Broward community leaders through professional development and educational workshops, networking events and outings.

“To re-establish an organization with a focus on helping young professionals grow within the Broward community is not only personally rewarding, but also fills an important need supporting the economic vitality of our community,” said Board President Randall Vitale, “We are so excited to see these young professionals grow in the community through Emerge Broward, and I am honored to work alongside such outstanding emerging leaders.”

Emerge Broward’s Board of Directors consists of Emerge Broward alumni and former leaders who support and work with current Emerge Broward members to foster a new generation of young professional community engagement. The board plays an advisory role for the recently established 501(c)(3) nonprofit, securing resources and providing financial oversight for the organization, while day-to-day committee leadership and programming is run by a Leadership Team of current Emerge Broward members.

The organization’s Board of Directors consists of Broward professionals representing a wide cross-section of industries, including: President Randall Vitale, President of Hoffman’s Chocolates; Vice President Maggie Gunther, Director of Communications and Programs for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance; Treasurer Jonathan Schwartz, Director of Construction, Retail Brands, MOD Pizza Florida and Hoffman’s Chocolates; and Directors Lais Pontes Greene, Founder and President of The Pontes Group; Kevin Hull, Director of Florida & New Markets, Brilliant; Brian Koch, Shareholder of Greenberg Traurig; Jonathan Perillo, Senior Associate of Corporate Risk and Broking, Wills Towers Watson; and Pradeep Vanguri, Associate Professor/Athletic Training Program Director for Nova Southeastern University.
