Broward Schools Promotes District’s Wellness Policy With Poster Contest and Awards Ceremony

Who/What: Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Food and Nutrition Services, in partnership with the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, sponsored a poster contest to promote the District’s Wellness Policy. Participating Broward Schools’ students have been asked to share what one of the following nutritional themes means to them through their artwork; Power Up with Breakfast!, Fresh from Florida Fruits and Vegetables, Take a Bite out of Hunger, and Snack Smart.

Poster contest winners will be honored at an awards ceremony at the UF Extension Offices on May 22 at 3 p.m.A $75 gift certificate will be awarded to the grand prize winner and $25 honorable mention prizes will be awarded to each primary grade, middle school and high school.

When: Wednesday, May 22, 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
