The bi-weekly podcast will discuss how organizations can adapt to workplace trends

The way we work and compete as individuals, teams and businesses is rapidly changing. To adapt, Amy S. Dufrane, CEO of HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®) and Joe Mechlinski, CEO of SHIFT, a management consulting firm, will sit down with business and human resource leaders to discover how companies can maximize profits by creating ideal work cultures in their new podcast,Inevitable: The Future of Work.

The bi-weekly podcast series will kick off with industry leaders who will identify workplace trends and how their companies are preparing to adjust.

Podcast episodes now available on Spotify and iTunes are:

  • “The Reality of Talent vs. Grit”Angela Duckworth, founder and CEO of Character Lab and bestselling author of GRIT, explains how businesses should measure their success and how an individual's grit drives high achievement.

"HRCI and SHIFT are working together to inspire innovative conversations that challenge traditional nine-to-five thinking," Dufrane said. "The podcast explores new adaptation strategies that are driving business success. We’ve captured some inspiring stories from top leaders and entrepreneurs who are progressive thinkers."

"Customers want remarkable products and services," Mechlinski added. "Businesses want to deliver results with a sound employee base. But today’s workers want more than jobs — they seek outstanding work environments and positive experiences. These compatible desires aren’t aligned. The purpose for this podcast is to create a connection between businesses, customers and employees."

Mechlinski founded SHIFT to improve workforce engagement and performance while transforming the purpose of business to benefit society. He is an entrepreneur, keynote speaker and author of Shift the Work, which debuted last year as a Wall Street Journal bestseller.

"It’s necessary that our approach to the future of work changes — perhaps it’s even destroyed and reconstructed — to put customer, business and employee goals on the same visionary path to excellence," Dufrane said. "Inevitable: The Future of Work will help companies explore this concept in depth and more."
