The gallery is Arts4All Florida’s Visual Arts Museum Partner for Broward County

The Frank is pleased to announce its partnership with Arts4All Florida as the visual arts museum partner for Broward County in the My Art My Way Artist in Residence program. As a part of the program, The Frank will be displaying a new exhibition featuring artwork by local students with disabilities.

The gallery will celebrate the new exhibition with a reception on Thursday, April 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public.

The mission of Arts4All Florida is to provide support and champion arts education and cultural experiences for and by people with disabilities. Through the unique museum residence program, Arts4All provides teaching artists to lead art learning experiences for inclusive PreK-12 classrooms throughout the state of Florida. Residencies are tied directly to Florida standards and increase the artistic skills and cognitive learning of students with disabilities.

Through the program, local students from Falcon Cove Middle School and Cypress Bay High School attended two field trips to The Frank and participated in seven one-hour sessions with creative activist Niki Lopez. During the sessions they explored a variety of art disciplines and created artwork for the exhibition. Beginning Thursday, April 4, their artwork will be displayed in the The Frank’s Third Space Gallery, which specifically focuses on supporting non-profit organizations, educational partners, underrepresented populations and community advocacy groups.

“We are honored to partner with Arts4All Florida and help them with their vision of creating a world in which the arts are universally accessible,” said Joshua Carden, chief curator of The Frank. “At The Frank, our goal is to provide a safe space for artists to express themselves creatively and foster connections. Through this amazing residence program we’ve been able to do just that.”
