Single Prop Rum, sourced directly from the Caribbean and bottled in Pennsylvania, expands distribution to New York, California and Florida

Single Prop Rum, imported and bottled by Theobald & Oppenheimer in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, announces three (3) new markets for distribution – New York, California and Florida. Theobald & Oppenheimer also announces a new hire, Isaac B. Marten as New York Sales Director for Single Prop Rum.

A nod to the Caribbean tradition of slicing open fresh coconuts and pouring in locally made rum, Single Prop Rum sources unaged, virgin rum directly from the Caribbean and brings it to proof with USDA certified organic coconut water. In each sip, the coconut water creates a smooth, silky mouthfeel followed by a traditional warmth and sweetness common in a light rum, ending with subtle notes of banana and sugar apple. The spirit, which is brought to proof and bottled in Bucks County, Pennsylvania launched in the Pennsylvania market in April 2018, where it is now available in 400+ on and off-premise retailers throughout the Greater Philadelphia area, Harrisburg and Pittsburgh.

As of this month Single Prop is officially available for distribution to New York, California and Florida through MHW, Ltd. Manhattan retailers recently established include Ninth Avenue Wine & Liquors and Warehouse Wines & Spirits. Single Prop Rum is also newly available at New York City’s industry hotspot, Sweetwater Social in NoHo, the iconic Victor’s Cafe in Midtown, and Alejandro’s Tapas Bar in Queens.

Leading the New York sales charge, Single Prop Rum has hired Isaac B. Marten as the New York Sales Director. Prior to joining the Theobald & Oppenheimer team, Marten served as the Director of Sales, OnPremise for the United Division of Empire Merchants in New York for eleven (11) years.

Marten’s professional career in the Wine & Spirits Industry began in 1997 as an Account Development Specialist with Regal House, a division of Charmer Industries. In 1999, he was promoted to the position of On-Premise General Manager. After the dissolution of the Regal House On-Premise division in 2000, he was named District Sales Manager for Park Avenue Merchants, a division of Charmer Industries. In 2004, Marten began his career with Atlantic Wine & Spirits, a division of Peerless Importers as the Director of Sales, On-Premise. In 2007, Charmer Industries and Peerless Importers merged, forming Empire Merchants, where he took the role of Director of Sales, On-Premise.

In his new role, Marten will be responsible for managing Theobald & Oppenheimer’s spirits portfolio in New York, with an emphasis on building brand presence and awareness of Single Prop Rum.

In addition to Single Prop Rum, Theobald & Oppenheimer portfolio produces Faber Spirits, a line of simple, easy-drinking spirits sold throughout Pennsylvania. Theobald & Oppenheimer is also planning a third innovative product launch in 2019.
