Tropical Financial Credit Union Introduces Fixed-Rate Credit Card

New Mastercard® Platinum Elite designed for people who carry over monthly balances and want to safeguard against higher interest rates

At a time when the nation’s interest rates are trending higher, Tropical Financial Credit Union is offering members a fixed-rate credit card, a rare product among today’s credit card offerings.

The Mastercard® Platinum Elite was created for people who may need to carry monthly balances and want more certainty on their future interest cost.

The new card has no annual fee, no balance transfer fee, and a fixed Annual Percentage Rate (APR) somewhere between 10.99-17.99 percent depending upon a member’s credit history. The same fixed rate and terms apply to balance transfers, convenience checks and cash advances. Once the rate is established, it remains locked in while the account remains active.

President/CEO Richard Helber said this new product is another example of how the credit union puts its members first.

“With a fixed-rate card, we can potentially save many of our members a lot of money should interest rates continue climbing,” he said. “A fixed-interest rate credit provides a nice safeguard and it’s something you won’t find being offered at most banks.”

Tropical Financial offers four different Mastercard options to meet just about any need. For more information on the various programs, terms and conditions, please visit www.tropicalfcu.com.
