The JW Marriott Marquis Miami, Hotel Beaux Arts Miami and the JW Marriott Miami, all MDM Hotel Group properties, continue their support of Arts Week in Miami with installations and hosting of various key events for both Art Miami and the Pinta Art Fairs.
The JW Marriott Marquis Miami and Hotel Beaux Arts Miami are the Official Hotel Sponsors of Art Miami and Context. To that end, there will be a satellite Art Miami fair in the lobby of the JW Marriott Marquis Miami, starting on November 20th and running through December 9th.
Art Miami will place over 10 contemporary art pieces from galleries exhibiting at the fair in the downtown hotel’s lobby as part of their annual partnership. The lobby installation will include Alex Katz’ “Shopper” series of 6 oversized black and white paintings. On display will also be Federico Uribe’s “Panda” sculpture standing over 6 feet tall and made entirely of ammunition shells. The explanation of his work notes that; “He juxtaposes this gentle giant with humanity's most destructive invention - bullets…. however, the artist's intention is to spread a message of hope that life can overcome tragedies and destruction.”
The hotel will also be hosting Art Miami’s 2018 Lifetime Visionary Award Dinner at Boulud Sud Miami on Thursday, December 6th from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm.

The JW Marriott Miami is the Official Hotel Host of Pinta Air Fair, and it too will have a satellite fair in its lobby starting on December 4th and running through December 10th.
