Construction Continues at 3550 South Ocean in Palm Beach

11/16/18

Construction continues at 3550 South Ocean, the first new beachfront residential development on Palm Beach Island in more than a decade, as palm trees were hoisted by the tower crane and loaded onto the pool deck. And now, the tower crane is gone! Expected occupancy is mid-2019.

3550 South Ocean is a significant development for DDG, an award-winning integrated real estate development firm known for its progressive design aesthetic and highly successful residential buildings in New York and California. The project represents a new phase of the company’s expansion as well as its first project in Florida. Outfitted with every comfort and convenience imaginable, each home in the 7-story building features direct elevator access, private entry foyers, private balconies, direct water views and expansive layouts ranging from 2,700 to over 3,000 square feet. Five gracious penthouses boast sweeping, private rooftops with plunge pools and outdoor kitchens for entertaining, as well as Atlantic Ocean views to the east and Intracoastal Waterway views to the west. 3550 South Ocean also offers an array of lifestyle and wellness services, including a full-time concierge. All residences will be delivered move-in ready.

GarciaStromberg | GS4studios of Palm Beach, Kobi Karp Architecture of Miami, and Champalimaud of New York have teamed up to design the striking, yet timeless, contemporary beachfront building, with a sawtooth form that stretches east to west and enables each of the building’s 30 expansive residences to be bathed in natural light and enjoy unparalleled ocean views and breezes.

The building topped out this summer, reaching its peak after breaking ground last year. Demand for the condominium’s oceanfront two-bedroom, three-bedroom and penthouse homes has remained strong during construction. Current availability starts at $2.310 million.
