Award announced at 2018 MINA and Full Service Owners Conference held in Washington D.C.
MDM Hotel Group today announced that it has been named Development Partner of the Year by Marriott International. The announcement was made at the 2018 MINA & Full Service Owners Conference in Washington D.C. on October 28th and 29th.
MDM has been working with Marriott since the inception of the company in 1990, with its first property being the Miami Marriott Dadeland, subsequently developing Courtyard by Marriott Dadeland in an adjacent property.
Hospitality has been a key element for the Miami based developer, whose efforts have helped transform the Dadeland, Brickell Avenue, downtown Miami and soon, Park West neighborhoods.
MDM brought the first luxury-branded hotel to Brickell Avenue with the JW Marriott Hotel Miami through its Barclay’s Financial Center development, which literally transformed the Brickell Financial District.
Subsequent to that project, MDM pioneered development within the downtown Miami central business district, with the unprecedented $1 billion Metropolitan Miami project, which includes the JW Marriott Marquis Miami and the Hotel Beaux Arts Miami.
MDM’s latest transformational development will be the Marriott Marquis Miami Worldcenter Hotel & Expo Center, which will feature approximately 1,700 hotel rooms and 500,000 square feet of meeting and exhibition space. The project is slated to break ground in early 2019.
