Three Member Companies Light Up GrowFL’s “Companies To Watch’ List

Entrepreneurs’ Organization South Florida (EO SOFLO) continues to shine as a powerhouse in the region’s economy, with three member businesses recently named as finalists to the “Florida Companies To Watch” list from economic development group GrowFL.

CloudHesive, ContentBacon and Triple E Equipment were honored among the top 50 companies expected to see significant growth over the next several years. These finalists were chosen from more than 500 nominees around the state.

“These stand-out companies are all led by entrepreneurs, and have demonstrated their capacity and intent to grow. The winning companies’ management teams, competitive market positions and strong community involvement were among several factors that put them in contention for the award,” according to a statement from GrowFL. “They also all have critical intellectual property or a niche position that gives them a competitive edge in their markets.”

  • CloudHesive, founded by EO member Jim Walker, is the “go to” Amazon Web Services (AWS) Managed Services partner headquartered in Florida. CloudHesive provides cloud solutions through consulting and managed services, with a focus on security, reliability, availability and scalability.
  • ContentBacon is an innovative content marketing subscription service cooked up by industry experts and EO board members Dave Kustin and Wendy Lieber.
  • Triple E Equipment, launched by EO member Alex Berg and based in Pompano Beach, distributes cutting-edge battery-powered construction equipment and vehicles that are safer, cleaner, quieter and more efficient than traditional combustion-powered machines.

“Our EO chapter is a dynamic collection of successful entrepreneurs and creative business minds,” said Jerry Katz, EO SOFLO president and founder of Premier Protection Insurance. “Through these latest GrowFL honors and many other wins, our members are driving South Florida’s economic growth.”

In addition to GrowFL, numerous EO SOFLO companies were named to the recent Inc. 5000 “Fastest-growing companies” list, as well as winning top honors from the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, eMerge Americas and more this year. On top of awards, one member sold his company earlier in 2018 for $30 million.

EO SOFLO is one of the world’s largest EO chapters, with approximately 190 members whose businesses account for more than $2 billion in annual revenues and 10,000 jobs in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Worldwide, EO has more than 12,000 members – all of whom are majority shareholders of businesses with at least $1 million in annual revenue -- in more than 50 countries.

The area chapter fosters business growth through innovative peer-to-peer learning experiences, as well as its Accelerator and Strategic Alliance Partner programs. EO SOFLO also sponsors the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards, and supports numerous South Florida education, entrepreneurship and incubator organizations.

“EO and our members nurture all stages of the area’s entrepreneurial ecosystem,” said Katz, who also serves as an advisor and judge for the NFTE challenge at StartUp FIU. “It’s an exciting time and South Florida is a fantastic environment to be an entrepreneur.”
