Ron Osborne, Broker/President of RJ Realty, and Scott Allen, Senior Managing Director with Tower Commercial Real Estate, have negotiated a long-term lease arrangement for The Hertz Corporation.

A Hertz Car Sales facility will be located at the old MotorHouse car lot location at 600 N. State Road 7 in Plantation, Florida.

The terms of the lease are confidential.

Osborne said the scarcity of used car lots with legal permitted use with certificate of use in place of any size in Broward County has decreased over the last several years as cities have changed the zoning regulation and FDOT’s acquisition of property along State Road 7, which has also caused both rents and sale land value to increase by more than double and in certain situations, tripled, as is the case along the State Road 7.

It took the skills of both brokers and true collaboration to negotiate with all parties involved to overcome a variety of obstacles throughout the negotiation.
