Member of the FIU School of Business Hall of Fame offered advice to graduates of the FIU College of Law, Chapman Graduate School of Business and Landon Undergraduate School of Business

When BankUnited Chief Operating Officer Thomas M. Cornish was asked to be the keynote speaker at the commencement ceremonies for students graduating from the Florida International University College of Law, Chapman Graduate School of Business and Landon Undergraduate School of Business, he was honored.
“I vividly remember sitting where they are,” said Cornish, who once worked his way through FIU as a student and who has since been inducted into the FIU School of Business Hall of Fame. “Their achievements should be commended. They should enjoy this moment knowing that their experiences at FIU will prepare them for the future.”
Cornish congratulated the students on their achievements, which, for many, is a culmination of the hopes and dreams of generations of family members and supporters.

An active member of the community, Cornish served as the board chair for the Beacon Council, Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation and the FIU Foundation and devotes his time to City Year Miami and other worthy organizations and causes.
