Dr. David Traster and Dr. Kelsey Brenner, owners of South Florida Integrative Health (SFIH), are pleased to announce that Dr. Joseph Coppus has joined the groundbreaking health care practice as an associate doctor. SFIH offers individualized treatments for mental, neurological, physical and nutritional health.

Dr. Coppus holds a Doctor of Chiropractic, as well as a master’s in clinical nutrition, from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. He is a board candidate for the Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board, and plans to sit for his examination in November 2018.

Throughout his time completing his doctorate in chiropractic, Dr. Coppus completed many hours in clinical neurology, and spent over 1,000 hours working alongside clinical neurologists in the field. He has completed specialty courses in vestibular rehabilitation, as well as child developmental disorders.

Dr. Coppus’ initial drive to study the field of clinical neurology stemmed from his grandmother’s struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.

“Shortly after my grandmother’s passing, I made the decision to attend chiropractic school, which opened my world to clinical neurology,” said Dr. Coppus. “It was then that I realized that there was some hope out there for people like my grandmother, as well as millions of others struggling with various brain-based disorders.”

“Dr. Coppus is an asset to our team,” said Dr. Traster. “His knowledge, expertise and passion for clinical neurology, as well as chiropractic and nutrition, is exceptional. He truly cares about his patients, and we are happy to have him as a member of south Florida Integrative Health.”

In addition, Dr. Coppus holds a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology and exercise science, cum laude, from Bowling Green University in Bowling Green, Ohio.
