Newest Office Located On North Federal Highway In Fort Lauderdale

POM MRI &Radiology has opened its fourth diagnostic center in Broward County, a 2,500-square-foot facility at 4331 North Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale.

The facility features the most advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, 3D mammography and other diagnostic medical technology.

The Fort Lauderdale center is the second new opening for POM in the past year. The company also opened a facility in Margate in 2017 to join its other locations in Cooper City and Plantation.

Eight employees will work in POM’s new Fort Lauderdale office. The company employs approximately 85 professionals overall, in addition to 10 board-certified radiologists who serve the centers.

The company has been expanding despite a very challenging industry in which insurers are denying more services and claims, said POM founder and president Drew Byers.

“We’ve been able to grow and become one of the area’s premier diagnostic providers by staying on the cutting edge of imaging technology, and by focusing on exceeding our customer – patient and doctor -- expectations,” Byers said.

The new Fort Lauderdale center has one of the few MRI tables in the county that will accommodate patients up to 550 pounds. In Margate, POM’s MRI magnet is the most powerful allowed by the FDA, which is able to produce the most precise medical imaging.

Future expansion plans for POM include opening an interventional vascular clinic within its 8,000-square-foot Cooper City location later this month.
