Ashley Armato Joins ACCIS Diversity And Inclusion Committee

Palmer Trinity School (PTS) senior associate director of college counseling and diversity coordinator, Ashley Armato, has been selected as a chair of the Association of College Counselors in Independent Schools (ACCIS) Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

“I look forward to collaborating with fellow educators who are passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion work in independent schools,” stated Armato.

The Association of College Counselors in Independent Schools is the only membership organization that focuses on the professional development and support of independent school college counselors. Its ACCIS Diversity and Inclusion Committee aims to provide programming to support counselors with the tools they need to work with diverse populations, accept a shared responsibility to understand how to have complex conversations and effectively negotiate issues that impact diverse populations.

Armato has been a part of the PTS college counseling team for eight years. She has a Master of Education in higher education administration from Florida International Universityand a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College in Massachusetts.
