Berger, Ghidotti Merge Law Firms to Broaden Services to Real Estate Investors and Creditors

Berger Firm P.A. and The Law Offices of Michelle Ghidotti have joined forces to form a national law firm that provides commercial litigation and creditors’ rights services in judicial and non-judicial settings.The merger of equals creates Ghidotti | Berger LLP, with a team of 14 attorneys in Florida, Texas, California, Arizona, Nevada and Washington. The firm operates in both state and federal court.

Ghidotti | Bergerserves investors, creditors, lenders and government service enterprises. The firm also represents businesses and their principals in high-stakes transactional and complex commercial litigations matters.

“Lenders and other creditors doing business on a national platform can now bring their matters to one law firm,” said co-founder Chase Berger, who started Berger Firm P.A., in Miami. “We take our big-firm backgrounds and knowledge and deliver personalized service in a boutique setting.”

Berger’s office has five lawyers and two attorneys of counsel. The firm’s practice consists of complex commercial litigation; bankruptcy; real estate litigation and transactions such as foreclosure, fraud and disputes; comprehensive commercial transactions including restructuring of business holdings; and creditors’ rights for institutional and private lenders, loan servicers and investors.

Casey Cusick will head up the commercial litigation practice at the firm Miami. Casey regularly practices in Florida’s state and federal courts andhas experience litigating a variety of appellate issues. Casey represents businesses and their principals in high stakes, complex commercial matters, including bet-the-company litigation involving ownership and control of closely-held companies, contractual disputes of all sizes and varieties, and business torts involving corporate and individual liability.Casey has been recognized in the “Rising Stars” category of Florida’s SuperLawyers for eight years running.

Berger and Ghidotti met through mutual clients and realized they shared management philosophies that put service first, devoted constant energy into securing client rights, and fulfilled a desire to stay small enough to deliver personal attention.

Berger’s practice centers around commercial litigation, business disputes, and lender-related litigation, including foreclosures, reorganizations, and bankruptcy and lender liability. He is a member of the Florida Bar and Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida. He is practices in Florida state court and before the U.S. District Courts for the southern andmiddle districts of Florida.He received his law degree from the Nova Southeastern University.

Ghidotti represents financial institutions and related entities in real estate, real estate finance, and bankruptcy-related matters. In 2015, she founded Prestige Default Services, a foreclosure trustee operating in California, Arizona and Texas and Washington. Ghidotti is admitted to state and federal courtsin California, Arizona, Washington and Illinois. She graduated from Chapman University School of Law.
