Cary Steklof
Hunton & Williams LLP announces the addition of Cary D. Steklof to its insurance coverage practice in Miami. As an associate, he has been representing individual, corporate and municipal policyholders in first- and third-party insurance coverage and bad faith disputes since 2010. Steklof focuses on insurance law, insurance bad faith, unfair insurance practices, litigation and appeals, and complex litigation.
“Cary is a well-known and talented local eighth-year associate with significant experience representing bankruptcy trustees, receivers, assignees and corporate entities on insurance matters. Prior to joining Hunton, Steklof was part of the Ver Ploeg & Lumpkin firm. He also served as a judicial intern to United States Magistrate Robin S. Rosenbaum in the Southern District of Florida (Currently on the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals) and as a legal intern in the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office in Ft. Lauderdale.
Steklof went to Northwestern University for his Bachelor of Arts and graduated cum laude. He earned his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis where he graduated cum laude and was a staff editor of the Washington University Global Studies Law Review.
