DLA Piper announced today that Omari Sealy has joined the firm's Corporate practice as a partner in the Miami office.
Sealy has a diverse range of corporate experience, with a focus on executing M&A transactions, commercial contracts and corporate finance transactions. He has also worked extensively leading buy-side and sell-side corporate and private equity M&A teams.
“Omari will be an important asset to our Corporate and Private Equity practices as he brings a strong understanding of key issues in M&A transactions, including antitrust issues,” said Joseph Alexander, DLA Piper’s Southeast US managing partner and Southeast US chair of the firm’s Corporate and Private Equity practices. “Our practice group has grown significantly in recent years and Omari’s arrival further demonstrates our commitment to bringing in top talent.”
In the past several months, DLA Piper’s Corporate practice has added partners Brandee Fernandez (Silicon Valley) and Yasho Lahiri (New York). Ryan O'Quinn also joined the firm’s Miami office last year as a partner in the Litigation practice. Sealy, born in Trinidad and Tobago, will also be able to leverage DLA Piper’s global platform to pursue corporate transactional work in the region and in the Caribbean market.

Sealy joins DLA Piper from Moore & Van Allen’s Charlotte, North Carolina, office. He received his J.D. from George Washington University and his B.S.B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from University of Florida.
