MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ship Supply International, a leading port logistics business, is pleased to announce that Ares M. Michaelides has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Ares has been a longtime maritime executive and brings over 20 years of industry experience to his new role at Ship Supply.

Previously, Mr. Michaelides served as Ship Supply’s Chief Operating Officer where he led key strategic initiatives, operational improvements and complementary add-on acquisitions. Prior to joining Ship Supply, Ares served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Starboard Cruise Services, the world's largest on-board cruise ship retailer with over €900 million in revenue. Prior to that, he spent ten years in various executive positions at Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises.
