Palisades Hudson Financial Group Promotes Shomari Hearn to First Managing VP

Shomari Hearn has been promoted from vice president to Palisades Hudson Financial Group’s first-ever managing vice president.

Hearn will have executive responsibility for all of the wealth management and financial planning firm's operations. He will concentrate on strategic initiatives such as the newly launched Entertainment and Sports Team. Reporting to the firm’s president, Larry M. Elkin, he will direct an expanded executive team that includes two newly promoted vice presidents.

Hearn joined the firm as an associate in 1998 and in 2005 established the Fort Lauderdale office. A New York City native, he is a 1997 graduate of Duke University. He holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification and the IRS’s Enrolled Agent (EA) designation.

A fee-only wealth management and financial planning firm founded in 1992, Palisades Hudson specializing in serving affluent clients. With clients in more than 25 states and several countries, the firm specializes in providing sophisticated investment, planning, tax, and estate advice.

The firm, which manages more than $1.2 billion in client assets, will relocate its national headquarters to Fort Lauderdale in January.
