Leadership Broward is now taking applications for Women Leading Broward, a program designed to help women in mid- to senior-level management positions expand their leadership abilities and augment their professional networks.
The online application, due December 2, is available at leadershipbroward.org. The program cost is $500 for Leadership Broward members and $600 for non-members.
“This program is a great opportunity for women in the community to come together in an inspiring environment and experience leadership development,” said Leadership Broward CEO Michael L. Gaylor, Ed.D. “With unique insights from fellow businesswomen, participants will gain the knowledge and skills to help them excel in their professional journey.”
The multi-day Women Leading Broward program will take place from 8:30 to noon on January 18, February 15, March 15, April 26 and May 17 at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale’s Hoch Youth Center, 321 SE 15 Ave. Each day will include a one-hour discussion with experienced C-level women executives followed by a two-hour small group segment moderated by trained facilitators.
Women will be chosen for the program based on the following criteria:
s At least three years in a mid- to senior-level management position;
s Work experience that includes leading teams and developing others; and
s A focus on refining leadership/management skills for career advancement.
Leadership Broward will host an information session about the program on Thursday, November 10 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at ArtServe, 1350 E. Sunrise Boulevard.
