Unique, Participant-Driven Event Will Engage Educators In Areas They Wish To Gain and Contribute Knowledge
WHO: Gulliver Schools is set to host EdCamp Miami on Saturday, November 12, where educators from diverse backgrounds will meet to discuss topics and ideas they wish to gain and contribute knowledge to.
WHAT: Free and open to all educators, the event will be completely participant-driven, allowing attendees to focus on areas of education that are most important to them. Participants will write down the topics that interest them the most on sticky notes and paste them on a communal board. Session facilitators will then organize sessions based on common themes and the most popular topics.
The EdCamp Miami team is made up of notable teachers and administration from Gulliver Schools and Florida International University. In true Edcamp style, session facilitators will be determined the morning of the event, based on interest.
Starting Wednesday, October 12, tickets for the event will be available on a first come, first serve basis on www.edcamp.miami.
