Laura Reich
Laura Reich, a member at Miami-based Tenzer PLLC who heads the firm’s litigation group, has been appointed to the Florida’s Children First (FCF) Board of Directors. FCF is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the rights of at-risk children and youth.
Reich has been involved with the organization for more than a decade. Her commitment to pro bono advocacy, specifically on behalf of children in the foster care system and/or with developmental disabilities, started in law school when she began working with FCF while a law clerk at the Law Office of Gloria W. Fletcher, P.A. in Gainesville, Fla.
She has served on the Host Committee for the annual FCF Miami-Dade awards reception since 2013. This year, Reich stepped up her participation by directly recruiting sponsors and becoming an individual sponsor of the event – along with her husband William.
“It’s an honor and a pleasure to join FCF’s Board of Directors,” said Reich. “Advocating and protecting the rights of children across the state is very meaningful to me, and I look forward to taking on a larger role to further FCF’s mission.”
In addition to Reich’s involvement with FCF, she is currently active in The Florida Bar’s International Law Section, the Miami International Arbitration Society, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (Miami-Dade Chapter), and the Kiwanis Club of Biscayne Bay.
Reich holds a law degree, with honors, from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law and a bachelor’s degree, with the highest honors, in economics and English from the University of Florida. She was also the Galleys Editor for The Florida Law Review and a member of Florida Blue Key.
