Christopher Apone has joined Berkadia as Managing Director. Based in the firm’s South Florida office, Apone will be active in the placement of debt and equity for a variety of asset types with a focus on providing capital solutions for multifamily and office properties.

Apone has been involved in more than $10 billion in real estate sale and finance transactions over the course of his 15-year career. He reports to Senior Managing Directors Mitch Sinberg and Charles Foschini.

Prior to joining Berkadia, Apone served as Senior Vice President within CBRE’s Capital Markets Debt & Structured Finance Division. In 2015 alone, he was involved in nearly $2 billion in total debt and capital placements with a multitude of correspondent and third party sources, such as agencies, banks, debt funds, life companies and Wall Street.

Apone earned a Master of Business Administration in finance as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration in international finance from the University of Miami. He was named one of the Daily Business Review’s Top Dealmakers in 2012, 2014 and 2015.
