American Red Cross Bestows 2016 Humanitarian Award to Sunshine and Dave Briskie of Youngevity International

Youngevity International, Inc, a global direct marketer of nutritional and lifestyle products, and also a vertically integrated producer of gourmet coffees for the commercial, retail, and direct sales channels announced that the American Red Cross, Broward County Chapter, recently honored Lisa "Sunshine" Briskie, Director of Youngevity Be the Change Foundation, and Dave Briskie, President and CFO of Youngevity International as recipients of the 2016 American Red Cross Humanitarian Award. The event, called Dine and Dock was held at the Hyatt Pier 66 Hotel on September 21st, featured a VIP Reception aboard a luxury yacht and a VIP Celebrity Auction with all proceeds benefitting the American Red Cross.

For more than three years Youngevity's Be the Change Foundation, under the direction of Sunshine Briskie, has worked closely with the American Red Cross contributing not only financial resources through the sales of designated Youngevity products, but also organizing volunteers from within the Youngevity family of distributors, customers, and management to come to the aid of various communities in the US and around the world.

Youngevity Be the Change Foundation, Youngevity International's 501 c3 non-profit subsidiary, has mobilized its distributors as part of an initiative called Random Acts of Kindness, or RAK. A recent RAK undertaking involved volunteers working with local fire officials and the American Red Cross installing hundreds of smoke alarms in homes in communities where the risk of fire was high and early warning devices were limited if present at all.

Paula Pendergrast, Executive Director of the American Red Cross stated, "This award is bestowed to those who embody the spirit of the American Red Cross through their contributions to those in need." Referring to Mr. and Mrs. Briskie and the Foundation she continued, "Your support over the years to our organization is legendary.
