TooJay’s Unveils New Décor at its Three Boca Raton Restaurants

9/13/16

TooJay's, the restaurant known for its generous servings of home-made, New York-deli favorites, has remodeled its three Boca Raton restaurants with a fresh, contemporary look that preserves their authentic deli heritage.

Walls adorned with big, bold Delicatessen and Bakery signs highlight TooJay’s culinary tradition in a fresh environment of bright, new tiles, flooring and comfortable booths. The restaurant’s famously tempting bakery counter figures prominently in the design, with an enticing selection of freshly baked pastries reminding guests as they enter the restaurant to leave room for dessert!

“We are sincerely grateful to all of our loyal Boca Raton guests and hope they enjoy our new look,” said TooJay’s CEO Chris Artinian.  “With three locations and a 27-year history in Boca Raton, this community is very important to us and we are committed to delighting our guests with great hospitality."

Founded in 1981, TooJay’s has grown to almost 30 restaurants throughout Florida and continues to invest in new and existing locations. The first Boca Raton restaurant opened in 1989 at Boca Polo Club Shoppes. Today the company employs approximately 120 team members at its three Boca Raton locations.

The remodel of the Glades Plaza restaurant at 2240 Northwest 19th Street was completed in March. The newly remodeled Boca Raton Polo Shoppes location at 5030 Champion Boulevard reopened on July 28 and the Boca Raton Regency Court Plaza restaurant at 3013 Yamato Road is scheduled to reopen with a new look on August 19.

Crowd-pleaser Menu Evolves with Lighter Fare

A favorite restaurant among lovers of piled-high sandwiches with sliced-to-order meats and traditional home-made dishes such as matzo ball soup and brisket, TooJay’s remains true to its heritage of serving generous plates of the classic recipes and made-from- scratch comfort foods available only at genuine New York-style delis.

Side-by-side with these traditional menu items are creative wraps and hand-tossed salads, satisfying the evolving tastes of new generations and preferences for lighter fare.  A new Small Plates menu features fresh Spring Tomato Cucumber Salad, BLT Deviled Eggs and Roasted Brussels Sprouts Medley, among other selections.

Homemade desserts at TooJay’s bakery range from seasonal pastries.to famous chocolate Killer Cake. Popular, bite-size pastries called rugalach are displayed in a variety of flavors, but the all-time favorites are the mini black and white cookies. TooJay's sells 1.5 million of the home-made cookies per year!

Catering is a significant part of TooJay's business. For holidays, office gatherings and events of any size, catering options include breakfast buffets, party platters and full, made-from-scratch dinners.
