Odoardo Sbarra
Apollo Bank, one of Miami’s strongest and fastest growing community banks, announces it has promoted Odoardo Sbarra to the position of Chief Lending Officer.
In this role, Sbarra will lead the bank’s lending department and oversee its growing team of commercial lending officers. His duties will include managing the bank’s growing loan portfolios, engaging in business development, and ensuring that the institution’s lending goals are met. Sbarra previously served as Senior Vice President – Commercial Lending Officer at the bank.
“Since joining Apollo Bank, Odoardo has distinguished himself as an accomplished commercial lender with deep relationships in South Florida’s business community,” said Eddy Arriola, Chairman and CEO of Apollo Bank. “He will play a key role in continuing to position Apollo Bank as Miami’s ‘go-to’ bank for small businesses and entrepreneurs.”
Sbarra has more than 15 years of experience in banking and lending. The promotion comes at a time when Apollo Bank’s loan portfolio continues to grow. Last year, the bank surpassed the $500 million milestone in total assets and has also achieved a five-star ranking in Bauer Financials’ quarterly ratings. Apollo Bank has a network of seven branches across Miami-Dade’s chief business and residential communities, including the Brickell Financial District, Downtown Miami, Coral Gables, Doral, Kendall, Westchester and Hialeah.
Previously, Sbarra served as Senior Lending Officer, Executive Vice President at First Bank of Miami and joined Apollo Bank after its acquisition of First Bank of Miami in August 2014.
