Ghost Light Society to Host 7th Annual Soirée Presented by Alpine Jaguar at the Parker Playhouse

8/23/16

On Saturday, October 8, 2016, the Ghost Light Society will host the 7th Annual Ghost Light Society Soirée, presented by Alpine Jaguar, to benefit the arts-in-education programs at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Guests will enjoy an array of tantalizing food, premium open bar, dancing, entertainment, complimentary valet parking and more from 8 to 11 p.m. at the historic Parker Playhouse, 707 N.E. Eighth Street in Fort Lauderdale.

This year’s Soirée theme, “Golden Age of Hollywood”, will also highlight the beginning of the Parker Playhouse’s 50th Anniversary season and channel the many legendary stars who have graced its stage over the years. Attire is vintage Hollywood or cocktail chic.

The mission of the Ghost Light Society is to engage and inspire a new generation of patrons to take an active role in promoting, celebrating and supporting the performing arts.  Over the last six years, the Ghost Light Society has established its annual Soirée as one of the most highly anticipated events of the season while also raising more than $250,000 to support the Broward Center’s innovative, award-winning arts-in-education programs that engage more than 150,000 students in the community each year and enable them to learn in effective and creative ways.

Sponsors of the 7th Annual Ghost Light Society Soirée to date include presenting sponsor Alpine Jaguar and platinum sponsor Ultimate Software, and the event is co-chaired by Heather Geronemus of Ultimate Software and Ashley Sawyer Smith of Akerman LLP.

Individual tickets are $125 for Ghost Light Society members, $150 for non-members and can be purchased at www.ghostlightsociety.com. Additional sponsorship and underwriting opportunities are available. For more information, call 954-414-6901 or email ghostlight@browardcenter.org.
