Independent Living Systems (ILS) is pleased to announce that Rachel Sheinberg has joined the organization to serve as the company’s Vice President of Nutrition Business Development. In this newly created role, Sheinberg will focus on generating new business for the company’s meals and nutrition programs.
The meals and nutrition programs are key differentiators between ILS and other healthcare services companies.
Prior to joining ILS, Sheinberg served as a leading expert on how the Affordable Care Act affected small and mid-size businesses and helped a $2 billion healthcare system execute their accountable care commitments with commercial insurers and Medicare.
She earned her BA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and her MBA at Duke University. While at the Wharton School, she wrote "The Use of Psychology to Improve Physical Health and Reduce Medical Expenditures", a book describing strategies and evidence for using mental health to help people achieve their health goals and combat disease.
“Rachel’s combined experience and education made her a perfect match for this newly created position at our company,” said ILS President and COO Timothy Nolan. “She fully understands the important role meals and nutrition play in a person’s overall health and will be able to successfully deliver the ILS message across a wide-variety of new business opportunities.
Sheinberg will work out of the company’s headquarters in Miami, Florida.
