Robert Butterworth Appointed to the Florida Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism

Robert “Bob” Butterworth, Of Counsel with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney and former Attorney General for the State of Florida, has been appointed to the Florida Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism.   The mission of this group is to promote the fundamental ideals and values of the justice system within the legal system, and to instill those ideals of character, civility, competence, and commitment in all those persons serving therein.

“It is an honor to be a part of this esteemed group of attorneys who are dedicated to the legal field and make it a priority to promote professionalism,” said Butterworth.  He will serve a four year term beginning July 2016..  

The Honorable R. Fred Lewis is the Chair of the Commission which is made up of attorneys throughout the state who serve as a steering and long-ranging planning team.  The Commission provides input, guidance and approval for the creation and implementation of professionalism programs and seminars; oversees the development of judicial professionalism programs; and promotes professionalism in law schools. The Commission establishes the policies of the bar's center and is its governing board.
