The international PR firm TransMedia Group named ex-British Naval Officer and PR strategist Tim Stergiou-Allen Vice President of Public Relations.

Tim did a fabulous job leading the team that raised the profile of the British Navy and Royal Marines on operations in Afghanistan, the Middle East, South Africa, around the Mediterranean and in the USA, said TransMedia CEO Tom Madden.

Originally a graduate in International Relations, Tim chose to retrain and specialize in PR after four years at sea working in sea mine disposal. Tim worked as the Officer-in-Charge (CEO) of the British Navy’s Mobile News Team, directing his writers and photographers to travel the world collecting pro-active news stories, images and video to market to the UK and international media.

On choosing to retire from the Navy Tim has worked with clients such as Rolls Royce Motor Cars, Suzuki Motorcycles, Help for Heroes (UK Veterans Charity) and a number of smaller businesses, start-ups, individuals and non-profits.

Tim said: “I could only hope after moving to the USA that someone as successful at Tom Madden would see my potential and give me to the room to spread my wings and further hone my skills while learning from the best in the business.”

Tim brings his experience in dealing with the British press and a well-established international media contacts list to TransMedia. Fittingly, he will be managing publicity for fellow British Florida resident and inspirational leadership and coaching Guru Gordon Tredgold (www.gordontredgold.com) and working with Madden to launch the publishing career of author JL Townsend.

His experience in full scale PR campaigns, cross-channel communications and targeted demographic research will help grow the careers of TransMedia’s newer clients.
