Multi-Partnered Initiative led by Power Design, Inc. and The Development Firm are looking for Broward residents to fill local positions

Power Design, Inc., in collaboration with The Development Firm, Inc., are hosting an electrical trade career fair in Pompano Beach to fill several open positions for the Broward County Convention Center and Hotel construction project. The partnerships goals are to attract Broward County locals from low-income census track areas.

The event will be held on Wednesday, February 10 and is located at AME Bethel Church, 405 NW 3rd Ave. Pompano Beach, FL 33060.

The Development Firm is focused on attracting local talent from low-income census track areas in Broward County. With the pandemic making it difficult to secure employment, the firm is offering the opportunity for individuals to interview for critical positions in their community in an effort to bridge the gap during these trying times.

“The electrical trade career fair will provide well-paying job opportunities for those living in low-income census track areas within Broward County,” said Henry Crespo, Sr., CEO, The Development Firm, Inc. Those who have found it more difficult to secure employment during the pandemic has derailed the efforts of local workers to provide for their families.”

Available positions include electrical apprentice, electrician, skilled laborer and electrical foreman. Applicants must pre-register and select an interview time online at www.thedevelopmentfirm.com. Select the Career Fair tab and register for available times between 3pm-6pm.

Interviews will be conducted on site with those who attend, and all are encouraged to bring a resume and certifications with them.

COVID-19 protocols will be followed closely. All attending must wear a face mask, abide by social distancing and will be subject to temperature checks upon arrival. These health protocols are being put in place with everyone’s safety in mind.
