The Guy Harvey Signature Pet Beds allign with the lifestyle brand’s ocean sustainability efforts. Guy Harvey pillow top pet beds are made with 100% biodegradable water based ink, using recycled materials as much as possible and are made in the Americas for a smaller footprint. They also feature high-resolution iconic artwork by world-renowned artist, conservationist and scientist Dr. Guy Harvey.
“We absolutely love everything about these eco-friendly beds,” said Dr. Harvey. “Personally, we are a huge dog-loving family so we cannot wait for our dogs to get comfortable in one of these beds.”
The beds are made with durable, washable fabric. A zipper pull tab allows for easy removal and care of the bed. The colorful, artistically designed beds are comfortable for pets at home, on a boat, outdoors or while on vacation and feature a built-in handle for easy portability.
According to a survey by the American Pet Products Association, 67% of households, or 85 million families, own a pet. “During this pandemic, when so many of us are working from home, our pets have to put up with us more than they typically would. Buddy Cooper, managing partner for the manufacturing licensee, added this fun factoid to the sustainability story. “Each bed uses recycled materials to help create the fabric and the fiberfill,” he said. “In fact, we have calculated that it is the equivalent of removing around 12 plastic bottles from the environment for the fabric and another 75 plastic bottles for the fiberfill. That’s almost 100 plastic bottles per bed!”
