Special Needs Group Donated Over 1,800 Pounds of Food to Feeding South Florida

12/23/20

Special Needs Group® / Special Needs at Sea®, a full-fledged medical equipment and supply company based in Dania Beach, hosted a week-long holiday spirit week, from Monday, Dec. 14 through Friday, Dec. 18, through social media to collect non-perishable food items to donate to Feeding South Florida.

Special Needs Group donated a total of 1,822 pounds of food to Feeding South Florida, which is equivalent to about 1,518 meals for families in need this holiday season.

The holiday spirit week initiative was a way for Special Needs Group to connect with their fellow travel partners in a safe and socially distant way, while also finding a way to give back to the local community during the holiday season. For each participant in the company’s spirit week, Special Needs Group donated a non-perishable food item to Feeding South Florida.
