Broward Center Announces Winter Virtual Broadway Intensive

12/2/20

The three-day experience will focus on singing, dancing, acting and audition prep

Even though Broadway is quiet, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts continues to bring stage experiences to life with its dynamic Virtual Broadway Intensive Series.

Following the successful virtual Broadway intensive this past summer, the Broward Center is expanding with a Winter Virtual Broadway Intensive set for Monday, December 28 through Wednesday, December 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Led by popular Broward Center artist-in residence Tammy Holder and guest dance instructor Michael Stanek, this exciting three-day intensive is the ultimate Broadway experience filled with new discoveries, active learning and artistic creation. Available to students ages 10-18, this immersive experience includes small group instruction, specialized sessions including singing, dancing, acting, audition prep and interactive masterclasses with Broadway professionals.

Participants must have access to a laptop or computer, be able to use the Zoom platform and have a space where they can sing and dance freely. The cost for the Winter Virtual Intensive is $130. Registration is available online at browardcenter.org/intensives by email at registrar@BrowardCenter.org or by phone at 954-414-6904.

Broward Center’s Road to Recovery Fund

The Broward Center is on the Road to Recovery. While the theaters are dark and staff is at a minimum, the hard work continues. Faced with the loss of 90% of its revenues, the Center depends on contributions to sustain its operations as it prepares for the day when the doors reopen, the curtain rises and the lights return to the Broward Center stages. Donations to the Road to Recovery Fund can be made at BrowardCenter.org/R2R.
