Palmer Trinity Student Selected For Leukemia And Lymphoma Society’s Students Of The Year Program

Palmer Trinity School (PTS) student, Victoria Cordero, has been selected as a candidate for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2021 Students of the Year campaign.

The campaign is a national seven-week challenge through which high school student leaders raise funds and awareness for the fight against blood cancers. The campaign begins Friday, February 5, 2021 and ends with a Grand Finale Celebration on Friday, March 26, 2021. The funds that are raised benefit the LLS mission: to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Since 2016, the campaign has raised more than $74 million for blood cancer research, patient aid and community outreach programs. Cordero was also a participant of the Students of the Year Program last year and contributed to the more than $30.3 million was raised by high school students throughout the country.

Each student participating in the Southern Florida Market’s annual scholarship and fundraising challenge was nominated by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Board of Trustees, Leadership Team, school administrator or staff member for their amazing leadership and passion to find a cure for blood cancers and involvement in their community.
